We decided to film our music video within Hitchin town.
- Church - St. Mary's is a lovely traditional setting to shoot the video, there are many areas within the location to shoot various shots. I specifically liked the large, olden door which I think would go with the video.
- Stairs - The stairs in the market near St. Mary's church is a great place to use an aerial view of the location, which can be used to set the location. I can use this location to be creative and use different ideas, this will make good use of this setting.
- Forest - As this location is usually isolated it would be good to shoot the video to portray the lyrics very well as the lyrics describe loneliness and solitary. This location has dark, natural light therefore when shooting here we will have to come during day light hours to avoid dark lighting.
- Alley - The alley is another isolate location which was chosen again to portray the emotions of the artist, I liked the scenery of this particular setting. However as this location is quite narrow it wouldn't enable us to be very creative with the shots as it doesn't give us many advantages in this area.
- Bancroft - Within Bancroft park the band stand is an ideal shot to film the characters in, a variety of shots can be used when filming including a long shot. This location is an ideal setting, the scenery is great and allows be to be imaginative. The large amount of space available gives me a great advantage of experimenting with different ideas.
- Town - This shot is in the town centre, a busy spot which we thought is suitable for this particular shot to capture the artist standing still whilst people rushed around her (movement sped up). This location can be used to shoot various of my shots and give me the freedom of using interesting camera work.
All of my locations use natural lighting therefore timing in my filming schedule is key as we need to shoot during day light hours so that the filming is suitable and acceptable.
